Panhellenic Information & FAQs

The National Panhellenic Conference is home to 9 values-based sororities at Mississippi State. The chapters provide members with the platform to grow as students, individuals, and leaders. Chapters support various causes and initiatives on campus and in the community.

Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment takes place in the fall semester prior to classes starting. The dates for fall 2024 will be announced in April 2024.

Plan on devoting this entire week to recruitment activities. You will receive a schedule each morning with your designated parties.

*If you are participating in New Maroon Camp, we will accommodate your schedule to allow you to participate in both Panhellenic Recruitment & NMC activities*

Visit https://msstatepan.mycampusdirector2.com/landing/ to register. Registration for recruitment opens June 1 and closes July 25. No applications will be accepted after July 25 at 11:59 pm.

The registration fee is $125. This fee includes t-shirts for the Go Greek, Philanthropy, and Sisterhood rounds of recruitment, snacks during the days of recruitment, and administration fees to assist with recruitment.

There will be an additional charge of $30 per night for students moving in to residence halls on August 10th for Panhellenic Recruitment. The additional $30 will be charged to the students account for August 10th & 11th for a total of $60. If a student participates in other activities that require early arrivals, there maybe additional nights charged. 

After you register online, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact the Director of Recruitment at panrecruitment@saffairs.msstate.edu.

A legacy is typically a sister, daughter, or granddaughter of a
sorority alumna. However, each chapter has different requirements for considering a potential new member a legacy. Many national organizations have made changes to their legacy policies so we encourage you to visit your national organization to learn more about their policy.

No, no one is ever guaranteed a bid to a sorority. Each sorority has different policies on legacies. Ultimately, the individual potential new member’s personality, character, resume, grades, etc., are the main determining factors for membership selection.
